NYP Wushu Oreintation Camp 2008

Before I get some complains for not updating.

I shall update, from the thursday before school holiday

VI first event, up and down with.

Faced with problems that I had not anticipated.

I learnt a lot from this event.

& I really wanna express thanks to JoJo & team.

& for those who showed their support.

You know who you are, I know I had disappointed some of you.

But I would try harder, not allowing any setback to overcome me.

Friday was another tiring day

Yeah right wushu performance.

& I think I could bang my head against the wall.

I suck-ed up my GONG LI QUAN.

then some slacking time doing camp stuffs.

& off to training @ PK.

stress again cos Shi Fu was there.Argh.

But just hiong hiong do, and wushu could really DESTRESS!

I could sweat my heart out

& yeah never ending entertainment by the 6 seniors & coach.

Im speechless about them.

Sat was a day of working & Sun a project day.

Zoom zoom our long anticipated

NYP WUSHU ORIENTATION CAMP 2008

One year before as a junior, we were bonded during this camp

Now a year later, we are to lead the bonding.

As one of the game ICs is even a must.

Day 1 of camp.

Last minute preparation and stuffs.

The ice breaking games, not so successful yeah.

Who could mess up the wind game?ME!

Thanks JD for taking over.

Our next game the blind fold game.

FUN! I didn't get to play

But I saw alot of acts, which makes me laugh till HAHAHA

Meow 1 being molested.

Meow 2 holding hands with Jeremy

Many gays acts & more.

And yeah the most candid one was the 2 boss.

Who could just shoot some toothpaste advertisment.

Then was lunch.

Followed by rushing time

Games ICs were rushing for a race against time

for AMAZING RACE.

Started the amazing race, oh yeah I should mention

my team is KUNGFU PANDA

a special group of people, they ain't experts like KF PANDA

but I can sense something extraordinary from them.

Ability to communicate with each other w/o much interaction.

Our first station- STRENGTH

Sweat them out!
Could see that they put in effort to do,

and the dance was truely entertaining.

Our next station - WISDOM

It could be just a boring station ,

and yet a meaningful one.

Depending on which perspective you look at.

In my perspective it was a good one.

I learnt the moral of the story.

Though Im not sure if the rest had.

Balancing is one important thing I need to learn.

Be it for studies, wushu, family or VI.

Third station was- TEAM WORK

as the name implies,yeah I saw teamwork.

The passing chair game.

Their endless creativity and such.

The funniest part was climbing on the wall.

The interaction between members.

Fourth station- PERSERVERENCE

I shall name Wen Yi as the most chang qi one.

His skill of blowing balloons is damn good.

Haha for those who could not, learned under him

& yeah we got 20 ballloons blowed

the rest of the stations continues.

As part of the requirements, they are supposed to take a picture
I bet you know now who got the sexiest butt.

Shh don't tell him if not PT I gonna die.
Fifth station- courage

Counting the ball was easy for them

When they had someone to lead

This is what I wanted to see.

And yeah they did it.

The mystery items.

Haha someone was AHHH the way

While people like Skye.

The moment his hand touched the second one.

POPO.

easy for them.

Shouting 'I LOVE NYP' in the bridge.

Im sorry guys, I shoot it as a video too.

But I won't share it here.

Asking the names, some are really scare

while some.Haha

Our last last one, is a line between honour or god

But sad to say.

We don't even know till now.

But they had tried their best

& as their leader to me they are the best

but yet to perform better.Way to go people!

& for me leading is just a part to learn more to go too x)

Dinner time ended with reflections

Then was training time.

Shug.Shrucks and yeah.

I only know Guo Xiong is din-ing me.

Bathing time, off me & Jun Yuan went to the secret place

& then was some slacking time

Before a rushing time for mails checks

& studying of hiragana.

Night off @ 2 plus?!

Day 2

Alarms clocks woke me up!

The funniest thing was me & Shi Ping

woke up the minute someone on the light.

then PT.

Nice one, but not too tough.

Breakfast time (:

And followed by a series of games.

For once I was enjoying it,

Cos my team was a winning team

Under the careful pick of han xing, skye,jeremy and more.

So all I had to do was run run and shout.

Really amazed at their scoring rates!
But for the other team they also tried their best

especially when the seniors joined them later.

Where some RA acts happened.

Then it was games of teamworks

Untangling the hands together.

From able to communicate to silence

My team did it.

Though we always end up with a 8.

The string game, some obscene sight.

But we still make it.

It meant tactics and teamwork.

2 person going over, someone using the leg and help out.

People like me small size enough

Lunch time I supposed.

Then was water games

Mindsweeper, I admit I was rushing my team

& it wasn't a nice one.

My bad, too impatient over big kids.

Then was the free and easy time in water

Where we got splashed, beat and stuffs

Nevertheless this is one part where I enjoyed most

Like last camp.

My usual bully peoples now left with only 1.

But got new one also.

Haha, typical ones Skye, Wei Mun, Chia Wei, Alvin

Too bad some fun ones aren't in the water

Jiang Da, Wei Chong and Jessen.

Of cos, playing around with the girls.

There was once we were shocked.

Due to some accident, but am glad nothing happened.

And we played water fishing net.

Haha I still remember myself coming up with the stupid idea.

Cos fishing net is fun, in the water more fun.

Then wash up and stuffs.

Writing the letters outside the wall

The tradition continues, but sad la

This year so little only, maybe it was caused we put it only on the 2nd day.

Then training time.No comments

Time to enjoy the hardwork of juniors

I would say ' great job' done.

We were laughing alot, nice one.

Their creativity and all, efforts put in.

We could really see.

Then POMPOM and hard work again

Skye and Jing Ting were coaching me for Jap

Sian sian study till 2 plus and off to bed.

Day 3

Waking up late just in time for PT.

3 rounds around the stadium.
I wanted to slack behind but I told myself no

Ended up in the lead,

shouting for juniors to catch up!

yeah breakfast.

Then followed by birthday celebration

The May & June babies.

Haha last year was only me & Jeremy.

Now it was a triple increase,nice one.

Then some sabo almond time.

Pack up and off we went for debrief.

When I took up my other role

Secretary, typing non stop

And yeah really trying hard to remember names.

The first was disclosure of secret buddy.

I always think that there is a link between me and my buddy

Last year, it was Nichloas, I saw him in the morning on the way

This year, it was Jing Ting, I brought sleeping bag for her

So I got take care her alrights.
To her, we are always so together le.

Then my secret buddy, ass la is Wei Chong

take care of secret buddy, his method is definitely good

Cos he has been bullying me since camp

No lah, is never ending one.

But thanks man, I know you tried.Haha

Then it was camp debrief.

From what I typed down,

The feedback for food was alright,okay,can

The feedback for PT was okay,hiong,cool

Welfare - FLOOR WAS HARD

The feedback for games from the juniors was good

just that we should include balls and more water games

From the seniors, we know ourselves whether we did it well

As part of the game unit,

I apologise for any dismay and stuffs caused.

To the team, to my leader, to the advisory committee.

It wasn't easy being a game IC.

Guessed me and SP felt this the most.

Problems encountered was far more than what we expected

Miscommunications and such.

But Im glad at least we receive positive remarks.

Is a learning experience for us.One tough one.

Through this camp I learnt alot,

on respect, on teamwork, on bonding and more.

Just read Wei Chong blog,

''really have this feeling of watching ppl grow up strongly.

All my junior last year etc WeiMun, Shiping, Corinne

all these r start from zero during tt days

but now they already r senior

n have to take care of the junior already hahaha.''

One year plus we are in NYP Wushu

All started from 0, regardless of our basic

We learn and grow together.

From juniors, we need not worry about anything.

But now as seniors, we are to know we should take the lead.

If seniors ouselves are not enthusiatic, how can we expect juniors to.

So this is something we need to learn.

No longer the xiao meis,xiao di

We ought to take up responsibilites.

The NYP wushu orientation camp is just a start.

All I hope is

We learn as a team

Stick together, help out each other in times of need.

Put down the past differences and we would bring

NYP Wushu to a greater height.

Though break camp le

but still ever busy over school work and VI

Im glad to be receiving many orders (:

Friday

Project day!

But not much was done.

Blur day, alight at wrong stop

cos I OVERSLEPT,duh

then rushed back home and went to Novena

Did my stuffs and good girl

walked to Pei Kio

The funny thing is I was trying to cross a wrong road

Waiting at the traffic junction

& carrying alot of stuffs

I saw one of our dewu coach.

Damn Malu la.

Then reached PK

& I got cheated, wulumaluchapalu

I became _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ granddaughter.

The part one joke of the day.

LOL.

Warm up, I was helping out one small boy

Not so easy, kids don't understand english

And he don't speaks to me. SOBS.

But heng @ ending, he started to be really responding.

Im so happy.

Then ji beng gong and such.

You wanna see a slight fierce sight of me

Mayb you can try to be like the kids.

& I will ask you to keep quiet.

I learn one thing from camp,

Don't talk when coach is talking.(:

Then the usual rountines to practise.

Good one, me and xiao mei was sabo-ed to the front

So means ABSOLUTELY no rooms for mistakes.

And I sad sad ownself da for broadsword.
Never mind, is a experience too yeah.

Then we were learning cudgel basics.

Lesson ended and all the craps came out

From those who were present for supper

Raymond Coach, Her Chuan, William and Wen Long

The last 3 especially makes me laugh like no body biz

I even got a lesson on E!

lol. Alright if one day you see me very shu nu

Say well done to my sensei, Her Chuan.

Cos HAHAHA.

Something different from PK to NYP

is I won't feel stress, not to say rountines time

But I don't have the responsibility yet.

But already some xiao mei say Im teacher.

So I went on to say No I don't teach I guide

Then the say no still teacher,

then I would say no a senior, but they still carry on

So lesson learnt,

is quite pointless to argue on.Haha.They are really cute.

And my old seniors there, super funny one.

Laughter is always present in PK.

In NYP, there would be stress, from works and such.

But still I enjoyed both side of trainings.

In short Wushu ROCKS!
